BELFAST, Northern Ireland: Representatives of different Canadian businesses in Calgary, Alberta will be visiting Saint Lucia from April 23-27, 2007. The purpose is to recruit and select interested individuals required for the transport, manufacturing, culinary, and administrative sectors in Calgary.

The team is offering employment for warehouse operators, delivery truck drivers, front office administration, waitress, kitchen staff and other related areas.

Registration for those concerned will take place on Wednesday April 18, 2007 at the Department of Labour Relations: Green’s Building at Barnards Hill, Castries.

Dr Christopher Stange, Caribbean Industry Analyst, born in Calgary and based in Northern Ireland, whom works actively promoting trade, tourism and improved relations for the Windward Islands, primarily in the UK and Republic of Ireland, commented on the news: “With the excellent relations that already exist both on a diplomatic and consular level between Saint Lucia and Canada, combined with the connections through tourism, trade, culture, arts and business, it is a logical step to recruit further abroad. It is also no secret that Caribbean people are some of the hardest and earnest working individuals found anywhere. With a large expatriate Caribbean community in Calgary, the transition for employment becomes that much easier.”
