Broader cooperation pursued as Dominica's prime minister travels to Japan

Email To Friend Print Version | ROSEAU, Dominica: Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit will be seeking to deepen and broaden areas of cooperation with Japan when he travels onhis first official visit to that country next week.

A number of important issues of relevance to Dominica, CARICOM and matters of international concern will be discussed. These include:
• Dominica’s bilateral relations with Japan and the exploration of ways to deepen and broaden cooperation • The proposed Fish Landing Facility at Portsmouth • The need for Japan to deepen relations with CARICOM by supporting the CSME • Reform of the United Nations • North Korea and other international issues
Dominica established diplomatic relations with Japan in 1978.
