Email To Friend Print Version | PLANTATION, USA: Internet marketing company POWERi has announced the opening of its new offices in St. John’s, Antigua. The decision to open offices on the island comes as the company expands its services and product lines deep into the Eastern Caribbean.
POWERi’s Antigua offices will be headed by Lorraine Headley. Headley is a veteran of Caribbean tourism having worked as a tourism economist at the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, and also as the Director General of Tourism for Antigua and Barbuda from 2005 to 2007. She also worked at the Antigua Hotels & Tourist Association as manager of the Tourism Development Programme funded by the Canadian International Development Agency.
“The Caribbean is yet to capitalise fully on the growth of the Internet and its key role in the decision-making process of the traveler,” shared Headley. “I am looking forward to playing a pivotal role, in collaboration with POWERi, in bringing these dynamic yet affordable tools to small businesses within the Eastern Caribbean, which will ultimately enhance growth and profitability.”
POWERi has been experiencing growth in the region with a series of new product launches such as REGIS, a fully integrated online reservation system for independently-owned hotels. The company has also seen a great demand for FlightLine Reservation Technologies®, an equally seamless online application that allows airline companies to manage all aspects of inbound and outbound flights.
“Our Antigua offices will serve as our base in providing a complete suite of services and products to a variety of critical sectors in the region ranging from tourism to regional export and transportation. We are very excited with our established partnership with Ms Headley. Her expertise and professionalism will be a valuable asset to our long term goals of establishing a firm presence in the Caribbean,” states David Andrade, CEO of POWERi. | | | | Reads : 302 | | | |
