NEW YORK, USA: Jack Warner, the Trinidadian FIFA vice-president has been re-elected as Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) President for another four-year term, which will run from 2007-2011, CONCACAF office announced on Wednesday.

Warner's installation as president came after he ran unopposed in the nominations for the post that closed Tuesday.

He will formally commence his fifth term at the regional football congress, which returns to Canada for the first time since 1992. The congress will be on May 11 and will be held in the city of Toronto.

The Trinidadian was first elected as president of CONCACAF in 1990 and has been re-elected every term since. His other terms served as president for the region came in 1994, 1998, 2002.

He is also the longest continuously serving member of the FIFA Executive Committee, after claiming his seat in 1983.

After receiving several message of congratulations, Wariner took the time to thanks those who made space in their busy outings to acknowledge his accomplishment.

"I wish to thank the various federations for their support and assure them that the coming term will produce unprecedented results from this region and may even contain a few very pleasant surprises," Warner said.

Meanwhile, Warner has brushed aside reports that his son Daryan has reportedly been hit with almost $1 million in fines for scalping tickets to last year’s World Cup soccer games.

His defence came after reports suggested that FIFA had secretly fined Daryan and also told the Warner family that their travel company was banned from dealing in tickets.
