BBC reporters arrive in St Lucia

CASTRIES, St Lucia: A BBC crew comprising of 5 men and 2 women arrived in St Lucia on a chartered flight on Wednesday about 6.00 am. The group attended the opening ceremony and the first game of the Cricket World Cup between West Indies and Pakistan in Jamaica, which West Indies won by 54 runs.

Presenter Manish Bhasin told Caribbean Net News the crew will be in St Lucia for a period of 13 days. Then they will be traveling to Antigua for 13 days, from Antigua their next stop will be Barbados.

The BBC reporters will be on a tedious 7-week tour of the Caribbean to cover the ICC Cricket World Cup and will also be enjoying our great hospitality and appetising cuisine.
