Email To Friend Print Version | SAO PAULO, Brazil (UPI): While visiting Brazil Friday, President George Bush praised the South American nation for leading the ongoing UN peacekeeping mission in Haiti.
Bush told reporters Brazil made a "tough choice" by assuming the mantle of responsibility for the UN effort in the troubled Caribbean nation.
UN forces led by Brazilian troops have been in Haiti for nearly three years following an armed uprising that prompted the departure of then-President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
