LONDON, England: Sunderland's manager Roy Keane believes Trinidad and Tobago international Dwight Yorke has added depth and quality to his side since joining them from Australian side Sydney FC.

Keane believes Yorke, a former teammate during their playing days at Manchester United, has also added the experience his team needs to win promotion from the Championship.

"I thought Dwight would add a bit of quality, a bit of experience, a calm head, be good for the dressing room, and he's done all these things," said Keane.

"He has played at the top level. People question the age of him but he's had no major injuries. He's never been the quickest but he's quick with his brain."

Keane, who won 15 club trophies as a player, including seven English League titles and four FA Cup crowns at Manchester United, took over the job at Sunderland in 2006 after the team got relegated from the Premiership in the 2005/2006 campaign.

Sunderland's latest success in the Coca Cola Championships came on Saturday when Yorke and Stern John scored the winning goals to defeat fellow promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion.

After a slow sloppy start, Yorke opened the scoring after being well setup by his fellow countryman John, before the latter doubled the lead minutes after the break at The Hawthorns.

In the meantime, Keane has warned Yorke, John and company not to be complacent when they go to Barnsley on Saturday.

"We can't be thinking the hard work is done, far from it. Barnsley will be just as difficult as our last three games," Keane said.

"We had a decent day on Saturday and now we work hard for next Saturday, Barnsley are fighting for their lives.

"There is a lot of hard work ahead and our aim now is simple - to win at Barnsley. We want to be in a position where we can pounce if Birmingham or Derby slip up."
