In his short statement at the signing ceremony which took place in the Parliament House, Rosaria expressed his thanks for the manner in which Australia and New Zealand had conducted the negotiations.
“With the signing of these tax information agreements we have made another step forward in our joint efforts to implement the principles of transparency and our commitment to high international standards regarding the global financial markets. These tax information agreements are important instruments to counter the abuse of the financial system such as tax fraud, money laundering and the financing of terrorism,” according to the State Secretary.
The Netherlands Antilles has committed itself since 2000 to improving transparency and establishing effective exchange information in tax matters.
Next month, Rosaria hopes that the Netherlands Antilles can sign a tax information agreement with Spain. | | | | Reads : 239 | | | |
