Thompson is charged with Reckless Endangerment First Degree, Assault First Degree, Assault Third Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime of Violence, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Sexual Contact and Aggravated Assault and Battery. The charges stem from a December 18, 2004 incident at the Culture Night Club in Frederiksted. Police said Thompson discharged several shots at three victims hitting a female victim at least three times and a male victim at least two times.

The arrest was made with the assistance of the St Lucian authorities, FBI in Puerto Rico and St Croix the VIPD Cold Case Squad and the Attorney General’s Office.

Commissioner Novelle Francis said cooperation between local and federal agencies as well as instant access to suspect photographs through the website is an excellent utilization of resources.

"This action sends a strong message to the criminal that you can run but you can’t hide. Violent offenders may flee to avoid prosecution but this police department will leave no stone unturned to pursue and capture these suspects," he said.
