Prime MInister Baldwin Spencer during his statement at the singing ceremony said that the country's accession to ALBA does not in any way signal a wavering of its commitment to integration at the level of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States and CARICOM.
"Our participation in ALBA is without prejudice to our obligations under the Treaty of Basseterre, the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas and other proposed economic and political alliances among member states of the OECS and CARICOM," he said.
Also attending the ceremony in Venezuela was Minister of State within the Office of the Attorney General Senator Joanne Massiah and Ambassador Joan Underwood. | | | | Reads : 1493 | | | |
