Grenada PM to deliver keynote address at Capitol Hill function

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada: The Caribbean’s newest Prime Minister, Tillman Thomas of Grenada will deliver this year's keynote address at the Inter-American Economic Council annual Heads of Government dinner of the Caribbean Community.

The function will be held next Wednesday on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
President of the Inter American Economic Council, Barry Featherman made the announcement.
“As the Council continues its important work to strengthen the relationship between the United States of America and the nations of the Caribbean, the Council is pleased that Prime Minister Thomas of Grenada has accepted our invitation to deliver the keynote address," Featherman said.
Thomas was sworn in as Grenada’s Head of Government nearly two months ago after his National Democratic Congress (NDC) defeated Keith Mitchell’s New National Party (NNP), which was in government for more 13 years.
