BRADES, Montserrat: The Montserrat Tourist Board (MTB) has appointed a Marketing Representative in Antigua and Barbuda.

Nicole Arthurton Dennis has taken up the appointment as part of the MTB's continued strategy to rejuvenate the island's tourism sector, which has faced numerous challenges over the past decade as a result of activity at the Soufriere Hills volcano and limited air and sea access.

Based in Antigua, Arthurton Dennis will be responsible for planning and executing on a continuous basis, a number of promotional and marketing activities on behalf of the MTB. These include regular sales calls on all travel agents and tour operators and other stakeholders; liaising with and issuing press releases and other news to the print and electronic media; advertising coordination; organising and representing the MTB at special events.

“The Marketing Representative has more than 15 years experience in the travel business and will be a great asset to the MTB,” said Director of Tourism, Ernestine Cassell.
