Cable & Wireless to roll out BlackBerry Bold across the Caribbean

Email To Friend Print Version | GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands: Cable & Wireless Caribbean and Research In Motion (RIM) on Thursday announced that the feature-rich BlackBerry Bold smartphone will be available in C&W’s markets across the region from Friday September 5, before it becomes available in the USA.
The new BlackBerry Bold is designed to give business professionals and power users unprecedented functionality and performance. It is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) networks around the world and comes with integrated GPS and Wi-Fi, as well as a rich set of multimedia capabilities.

The BlackBerry Bold smartphone boasts a next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor, high-resolution, ultra-sharp display and newly enhanced, high performance browser that enable an enhanced web browsing experience, video streaming and fast downloading.
C&W Caribbean’s Executive Vice President Commercial, Mariano Doble says he expects the BlackBerry Bold to be a big hit with anyone who enjoys a cool feature rich phone. “The BlackBerry Bold is the total package, it has numerous features, gives users access to limitless services and it’s also a very sleek and attractive handset,” he said.
Doble also pointed out that with C&W offering prepaid BlackBerry service in some Caribbean markets and attractive postpaid plans across the region, the BlackBerry Bold would avail itself to a wider cross section of consumers as well as business customers.
