BRIDGETOWN, Barbados: Effective January 1, 2008, the application fee for a US nonimmigrant visa will increase from US$100 to US$131. According to the US Embassy in Barbados, this increase allows the Department of State to recover the costs of security and other enhancements to the visa application process. read more...

 NASSAU, Bahamas (BIS): The Cuban Embassy has instituted a new policy regarding sponsorship of Cubans, resulting in Bahamians having to submit an affidavit to that country before applying for a visa. BRIDGETOWN, Barbados: The US Embassy in Barbados has announced a change in the way visas for temporary visits to the United States (nonimmigrant visas, or NIVs) are processed.
