Dear Sir:
As a reflection on the letter to the editor submitted on Tuesday: "Haiti needs our intervention," I would like to suggest reading the information on the following website for consideration: http://www.relufa.org/pa
I am in agreement that intervention on behalf of Haiti is a good thing. However, where and how intervention takes place is my larger concern. I would propose that intervention by international corporations whose sole motivation is greed (albeit under the guise of economic development) should not be tolerated.
I echo the words of the writer of the Caribbeannetnews who wrote: "And so in the words of David Rudder:. "Haiti I'm sorry , we misunderstood you. But one day we'll turn around and look inside you. Haiti I'm sorry, Haiti I'm sorry. But one day we'll turn our heads and restore your glory."
With respect and concern.
