St Vincent and the Grenadines PM suffering from fatigue

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent and the Grenadines -- After traveling the globe extensively for the past eight years the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, has been forced by fatigue to take a rest.

The Taiwan Ambassador to St Vincent and the Grenadines, Leo Lee, was to present Gonsalves with a cheque on Tuesday but Gonsalves was unable to attending the handing over ceremony.

Minister of Social Development, Mike Browne, accepted on the government's behalf and Browne informed the media that the Prime Minister was at home suffering from “fatigue.”

Browne made the point that Gonsalves' indisposed position was not grave and that he should be back on his feet soon.

“I think that the nation will be happy to know that he gets a little bit of a rest and a little bit of a time of”, Browne noted.

Browne will act as Prime Minister until Gonsalves resumed his duties, since the Deputy Prime Minister, Sir Louis Straker, is in Egypt attending the Non-Aligned Movement Summit.

A call to the Prime Minister's office revealed that Gonsalves should be back at work next week Monday.
