The Cayman Islands’ leading media group produces Cayman Net News
daily broadsheet newspaper, The Bracker and Little Caymanian, the
monthly Tourist Today as well as a host of other supplements, in
addition to two websites.
We need to fill the following posts:
WRITERS/PHOTO-JOURNALISTS
Two positions are available. Candidates must have at least three (3) years
experience working full-time for daily newspapers and/or news/features
magazines, reporting on hard news, features and parliamentary/court
proceedings. Salary paid weekly will be commensurate with experience.
GRAPHICS PRODUCTION DESIGNER/PAGINATOR
This position requires someone with at least three (3) years experience
working with Macintosh computers in a fast-paced production environment.
Must be skilled in the make up of advertising and pagination for newspapers
and magazines. Proficiency using QuarkXpress, InDesign, Illustrator and
PhotoShop software for print is essential. Some technical, networking and
web design knowledge an asset. Salary paid weekly will be commensurate with
experience.
ADVERTISING SPACE SALES PERSONS
Candidates must have had actual hands-on experience selling advertising
space for newspapers and magazines. Ability to assist clients with the
writing of copy for ads and gathering of collateral an asset. Salary paid
weekly will be commensurate with experience plus monthly commission.
