Daniel GRAND TURK, Turks & Caicos Islands (GIS): The ruling Progressive National Party (PNP) under the leadership of Premier Dr Michael Misick, has emerged victorious in Friday’s general elections in the Turks & Caicos Islands, capturing 13 of the 15 electoral seats.
The People’s Democratic Movement, under the leadership of Floyd Seymour, secured the remaining two of the fifteen seats. Coming just shy of a landslide, the Progressive National Party captured all of the electoral seats in Providenciales, South Caicos and North Caicos. The party won the seat in Middle Caicos and two of the four seats in the Capital Grand Turk.
