PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: A 27-member trade mission from Nova Scotia, Canada is now on a visit to Trinidad and Tobago to pursue business and investment opportunities.

The undertaking, which runs from February 3 to 10, is being described as one of the largest trade missions to the country and is aimed at increasing trade between Trinidad and Tobago and Canada .

The mission is led by Nova Scotia Minister of Energy, Bill Dooks. The mission also includes representatives of businesses ranging from information and communications technology, manufacturing, education and training, and the professional services sectors.

Over the last 12 months, there have been three similar trade missions from Nova Scotia to Trinidad and Tobago.

Interest by Nova Scotia in Trinidad and Tobago is as a result of several promotional visits made by Foreign Affairs Minister, Arnold Piggott, during his three-and-a-half year term as this country's High Commissioner to Canada.
