CASTRIES, St Lucia: In compliance with new international anti-terrorism requirements, on Friday the Government of Saint Lucia launched a new machine readable passport system.
The holder's biometric data will be stored in the new passport and when scanned the information can be accessed.
Canadian Bank Note (CBN), a company experienced in document security and counterfeit security, is the supplier of the new system. CBN is also responsible for issuing similar machine readable passport systems to Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Suriname.
