Digicel Caribbean Cup Group J fixtures announced

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad: The full details for the three fixtures of the final qualifying Group J in the Digicel Caribbean Cup have now been released.
With Bermuda, Haiti and the Dominican Republic all qualifying as third placed teams in the three second round groups of the Digicel Cup played in November, the winning side will be the eighth and final team to qualify to Trinidad to compete in the highly competitive Digicel Caribbean Cup Finals.
All games will take place in the national home of the Soca Warriors, the Hasley Crawford Stadium.
Group H qualifiers The Dominican Republic will be first to play against Haiti at 5pm (17.00) on January 5.
Having impressed in their opening Group D and topping ahead of St Vincent and Grenadines and eliminating Jamaica, Haiti were favorites to qualify automatically to the Digicel finals but in the end had to rely on a last minute equalizer against Suriname in their second round Group I to qualify in third position.
The Dominican Republic will play two days later against Group G qualifiers Bermuda on Sunday January 7 with a 4pm kick off.
Both of these sides have met already this tournament in their Group C qualifying game where Bermuda took the honours winning on a 3-1 scoreline.
The Dominican Republic have played a number of games since then including a hard fought 2-0 win over Antigua in their second round Group H game so they should be looking to exact a swift revenge on the Bermudians
The final game in the Digicel Caribbean Cup qualifying Group J will be at 5pm (17.00) kick off, again at the Hasley Crawford and will match Bermuda against Haiti. Commonly viewed as the two favorites for Group J this should present a showpiece finale as the ultimate qualification game to the Digicel Caribbean Cup Finals commencing in Trinidad on January 12.
