New Caribbean Airlines appoints team for January 1 launch

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: As the December 31 date draws closer for shutting down operations at Trinidad and Tobago national airline BWIA, another airline, the recently established Caribbean Airlines, has now appointed a new team aimed at making a smooth transition from BWIA when it makes its first official flight on January 1, 2007.

BWIA expects to stop flying at the end of December.

The new Caribbean Airlines team will be assisted by Vice President of operations, Ian Briton, Regional Director for the Caribbean Robert Corbie, and General Manager Adam Diaz. Peter Davis is Chief Executive Officer.

According to the airline the decision had been taken to ensure customers' satisfaction when the airline makes its first official flight on January 1.
