Saturday, December 2, 2006

ST JOHN'S, Antigua: A wide cross-section of tourism industry stakeholders in Antigua and Barbuda are expected to gather at the Jolly Beach Resort for the Ministry of Tourism's one day conference being held as part of Tourism Week taking place from December 3 to December 9.

Tuesday's conference, which will be held under the theme "The Future is Now", will focus on exploring innovative marketing techniques that Antigua and Barbuda can develop to keep abreast of changing market trends and patterns.

Key speaker is Peter C. Yesawich - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell (YPB&R), one of America's leading marketing, advertising and public relations agencies serving travel, leisure and lifestyle clients.

Yesawich, will deliver a presentation on the National Leisure Travel MONITOR an authoritative, strategic marketing tool focusing on insightful information that goes beyond speculation to offer solid evidence of the latest progressions of leisure travel.

This comprehensive marketing research will greatly enhance the Ministry of Tourism's efforts in correctly predicting and forecasting the demands of today's leisure traveler, ultimately ensuring that Antigua and Barbuda's market share increases in a fiercely competitive and growing industry.

The National Leisure Travel Monitor survey which is co-authored by Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell and Yankelovich, Inc., now in its 15th year, is one of the most closely-watched and highly-regarded barometers of the travel habits, preferences and intentions of Americans.
