Trinidad Energy Minister visits China

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: Trinidad and Tobago's Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr Lenny Saith, is part of a seven-member delegation visiting China.

Saith's visit follows a long-standing invitation to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago from China.

During the visit to China, Saith and his delegation will pursue initiatives in areas of mutual interest and cooperation.

These include energy, telecommunications, finance, construction and agriculture.

After their visit to China, the Trinidad and Tobago delegation is expected to head to Malaysia to hold talks with state-owned oil company and business leaders from the energy, construction and information technology industries.

Members of the delegation include head of the Trinidad and Tobago Public Service, Sandra Marchack; Chairman of the National Gas Task Force, Ken Julien; and Chairman of British Gas Trinidad and Tobago, Robert Riley.
