The Caribbean is nobody's back yard

I must tell you I am uncomfortable - and surely not alone - with such prominent attention to the views of a pair of US uncivil servants - Dr Rice and Mr Bolton - by a news service supposedly devoted to the well-being of the Caribbean. These individuals are expressing views - for which they have many other fora - in the interests of their government, not of the rest of the world.

Instead, how about news on the Indigenous peoples of the Caribbean (eg. in Dominica and St Vincent), more on environmental devastation and efforts of combat it (eg. in Trinidad). I'm sure readers can come up with many other suggestions and perhaps even volunteer short reports on them.

With love for our Caribbean - nobody's back yard.
