Air Jamaica introduces executive business class

Friday, September 8, 2006

KINGSTON, Jamaica: Following the successful re-branding of the London product, Air Jamaica will rename its First Class product to Executive Business Class on all its routes. The change takes effect on October 29, 2006.

The change is aimed at giving Air Jamaica the competitive edge as it anticipates increased sales with the more attractive fares in the Executive Business Class.

The Executive Business Class will have the same perks as the current First Class product, including Air Jamaica's signature champagne service. Additionally, passengers in the Executive Business Class will continue to have their luggage delivered first wherever possible, customs allowing.

Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Paul Pennicook says the decision was influenced by the improved sales in Executive Business Class on the London route since the change in June and the need for brand consistency throughout the system.

Air Jamaica provides more non-stop flights to Jamaica than any other carrier with more than 270 flights per week from Atlanta, Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York (JFK), Orlando, and Philadelphia in the United States, Toronto, Canada and from London to Montego Bay and Kingston.

Air Jamaica also offers non-stop service between New York and Grenada; New York and St Lucia; and direct service between New York and Barbados.

Air Jamaica offers intra-regional service with flights between Jamaica and The Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, Cuba, Curaçao, Grand Cayman and St Lucia.
