Japanese government delegation visits Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: The Minister of State for Gender Equality and Social Affairs in Japan is on an official visit to Trinidad and Tobago which runs from August 9-12.
Dr Kuniko Inoguchi and a 6-member delegation arrived in Trinidad on Wednesday. It is the first official visit to Trinidad and Tobago by a sitting Japanese government minister.
Inoguchi is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on Prime Minister Patrick Manning and other government officials ,including Trinidad's Foreign Affairs Minister Knowlson Gift.
During Inoguchi's visit, she is expected to hold talks on issues related to co-operation with CARICOM, energy, and UN Reform. There will also be talks on international and bilateral relations as they relate to Trinidad and Tobago and the Japanese economy.
