The report adds that Trinidadians Nina and Natasha Tommy who live in Beirut, Margo Aboud of Bayshore, Port of Spain and Claudette Alfred of Bayshore were among thousands of  persons from other countries trying to get out of Lebanon.

Albert Hadeed, Former Honorary Counsul for Syria in Trinidad told reporters he had made arrangements for another Trinidadian, Amal Mansoor, who was trying to get out of Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Trinidad is said to have contacted Trinidad's High Commissioner in London, Glenda Morean-Phillip to assist Trinidadians trapped in Lebanon.

Fighting between Lebanon and Israel has intensified over the past days over two captured Israeli soldiers, sparking a massive evacuation of civilians.

Caribbean Net News understands  that efforts will continue to find and evacuate all Trinidadians in the war-torn region.
