PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: Tobago's Minority Leader, Ashford Jack, is expected to respond to the island's 2.7 billion dollar fiscal package presented on Monday by Anselm London, Secretary for Finance.
During the island's budget presentation on Monday, London said sections of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) will be investigated.
Jack has also been calling for an audit into several departments of the THA, saying there are operations relating to spending that needed to be scrutinized.
He warned Tobagonians that once a proper probe in done into the financial affairs of the THA, there will be startling revelations.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary of the THA, Orville London, has denied any financial impropriety saying Tobagonians had good reason to be proud of a PNM-led Tobago House of Assembly.
In 2005 the THA presented a TT$2 billion dollar budget to the Central Government but got only TT$1.5 billion.
