Realism before conservationism
Thursday, June 29, 2006
I really do not quite understand why these people just can't quit, rather than continuously drowning themselves in all this hypocrisy? Had I been in Linda Wilson’s place, I would rather than calling for boycotts on Japan and other islands having voted alongside sustainable use of the creatures of this earth, try remind myself of the guilt of my own country, making us far more guilty a people than those who wish to make use of one or two whales. Didn’t my country, all due to greed, ransack Afghanistan and Iraq? Were human lives sacrificed then, and continue being sacrificed? Why don’t I just wage war on my own country, when our tactics are far more dangerous than a few countries allowing others to catch whales? Before being a conservationist, why didn’t I first think of becoming a realist? Jepson Victor
