Injury doubts over Trinidad and Tobago stalwart Andrews

PARIS, France (AFP): Trinidad and Tobago coach Leo Beenhakker has expressed concern over the fitness of his veteran central defender Marvin Andrews.
The 32-year-old Glasgow Rangers player has been playing with a cruciate ligament injury for the last year, but the Dutchman thinks the World Cup may be beyond him.
"Normally Marvin would be one of my starting 11, but I have the feeling he's still not fit," Beenhakker told the FIFA World Cup website.
"Marvin wants to play and is proud to represent his country. But what I've seen here isn't the Marvin I know. It's just little things with his knee but he needs more time to recover."
Andrews has won 97 caps for his country, but Beenhakker insisted no chances would be taken with his fitness.
"I can change a player who can't participate because of injury right up until 24 hours before our first match," he said.
"I'll wait and hope he'll recover in time and be in Germany with us."
The Caribbean side have been drawn in Group B alongwith England, Paraguay and Sweden.
