ST GEORGE'S, Grenada: Regional practitioners implementing Food and Nutrition Security (FNS) projects in the Caribbean have convened a five day meeting in Grenada.

The regional training course entitled: “Introduction to communication tools and methods”, is designed to introduce to participants the tools and methods in communication in order to increase their capacity for influencing public policy makers in the agricultural and rural development sector.

During the training, the FNS practitioners will have the opportunity to share knowledge and experience with communication specialists, practical exercises on articles, and examples of how communication tools can be used effectively.

They will be required to produce an action plan for follow up action in their organisation.

Minister of Agriculture, Gregory Bowen delivered the Feature Address at the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday.

The regional training course is being organized by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Co-operation (CTA) in collaboration with the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI).
