ST GEORGE’S, Grenada: The ICC Cricket World Cup ticketing applications will commence in Grenada on May 2.

Chris Dehring
Managing Director of the ICC CWC Chris Dehring during a visit Saturday made a special appeal to Grenadians to come out in their numbers and start applying for tickets for the games to be staged here.

The ICC has 800,000 tickets on sale according to the top ICC official and they anticipate selling every ticket, whether international or local.

Dehring said that persons purchasing a combination of tickets versus just a single ticket will more likely have a better chance getting their allocation.

Cricket World Cup is a daunting undertaking, Mr Dehring said. He also said that challenges among challenges will arise, but Caribbean people must keep the faith.

The ICC CWC managing director says no matter who is hosting any world games there are challenges. It also gives the host country the opportunity to demonstrate to the world managerial skills and as a region how they react to challenges.
