LONDON, England: Caribbean strikers, Jamaican Reggae Boy Ricardo Fuller and Trinidad and Tobago's Soca Warrior Kenwyne Jones, each hit the back of the net as Southampton beat Millwall 2-0 in the English Championship on Monday.

After starting out at a slow pace, Southampton took the lead in the 13th minute when Jones converted from the spot after he was brought down by Mark Phillips in the area.

The Trinidadian, who will be making his World Cup debut this summer in Germany, calmly sent goalkeeper Colin Doyle the wrong way to score his fifth goal of the season.

Fuller, the leading goalscorer for the club this season, wrapped up the victory for Southampton in dramatic style after goalkeeper Doyle was caught out of place from a corner kick.

With his team down a goal and staring relegation in the eye, Doyle went into the attack on a corner kick in search of an equaliser.

However, he was unable to get back in time after Claus Lundekvam cleared the ball to an exhausted Fuller, who broke from inside of his own half as the crowd stood to their feet, holding their breath wondering if his legs would carry him clear of the retreating defence.

Fuller was able to race away with the ball and shoot into an empty net for his seventh of the season in the last minute of stoppage time.

"This was a big win and a welcome three points," said Southampton manager George Burley. "We have had to raise our standards and we have done that over the last month.

"We have played with quality in the last few games and this was an opportunity to blood young players. We also kept up the winning habit."
