Trinidad and US security firms combine to serve Caribbean clients

Wednesday, April 12, 2006

ORLANDO, USA: Two corporate security consulting firms -- one based in the United States and the other in Trinidad & Tobago -- have formed an alliance to offer a wider range of security services to clients in the Caribbean basin.

The announcement was made by Roy N. Bordes, CEO of The Bordes Group, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, and Lt. Col. Lyle E. Alexander, CPP., the CEO of A.R.M. Specialists Ltd in Arima, Trinidad & Tobago.

The two firms have extensive combined experience meeting the security needs of clients worldwide. The partnership will offer its services to facilities such as, but not limited to, airports, government buildings, military installations, industrial complexes, and residential developments.

The Bordes Group was founded in 1978. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Orlando, it also has offices in Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Saudi Arabia.

A.R.M. Specialists was founded by Alexander following a distinguished military career and serving 10 years as Security Manager of a large multinational oil and gas company. Alexander still serves as the Commanding Officer of the Reserve Component of the Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force.

The combined resources of the two companies will offer clients in the Caribbean basin a full range of corporate security consulting services including project management, design and electrical engineering, and CAD capability, among others.

The two executives said this strategic partnership will provide a higher level of corporate security consulting services available to clients in the Caribbean region.

“This partnership makes a broader suite of security consulting services more easily available in the Caribbean region,” Alexander said.

“This agreement will advance the level of experience and expertise in designing integrated electronic security systems in the Caribbean,” added Bordes.

Although the alliance between The Bordes Group and A.R.M. Specialists is new, the two men are no strangers to each other. They have known each other for more than two decades primarily through activity in ASIS International – an organization in which both of them have been very active for many years.
