GRAND TURK, Turks and Caicos Islands: A hard-bound, 176- page Destination Guide has been added to the in-room literature of all member resorts of the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) according to the Executive Director of the TCHTA, Caesar Campbell.

The first copy of the new Destination Guide was presented to Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, Michael Misick by the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association, Andre Neiderhauser and Caesar Campbell.

Misick said, “We are already the envy of the Caribbean and this destination Guide further showcases our blossoming tourism product.”

Speaking on behalf of the TCHTA, Campbell said, “We are delighted with the outcome of the guide, its fine quality, informative content as well as its impressive, eye-catching look. Additionally, the launch of this guide provides an outstanding opportunity for visitors to experience the beauty of the TCI at their leisure.”

Campbell went on to say. “Whether visitors want to casually explore the natural beauty of these islands, tour historical sites and attractions or simply just relax on the beach with a cocktail, this new destination guide will help our guests get the most out of their stay on this popular, up market Caribbean Island."

Commenting on ‘Destination Turks and Caicos, Chairman of the TCHTA, Andre Neiderhauser said that it was time for the TCHTA to produce a high quality literary “showpiece” that could be placed in our hotel rooms, to both serve as a directory for member hotels and allied businesses but, even more importantly, introduce our visitors to these islands.

Containing hundreds of succinct and informative listings for the best sights, restaurants and shopping, these islands have to offer, Destination Turks and Caicos is conveniently divided into sections complemented with large vertical shots provided by a locally based photographic company, Tropical Imaging. The cover and introductory section photos were specially designed and produced for this Destination Guide.

Destination Turks and Caicos was written by Kathy Borsuk, Managing Editor of Times Publications, which also publishes Times of the Islands Magazine and the TCREA Turks & Caicos Islands Real Estate.

According to the Guide’s publishers, amateur photographers who were previous contributors to Times of the Islands provided a number of local, indigenous shots which offer a good representation of each island. Melbourne Graphics, another local company produced the map graphics. H/D Graphics of Hialeah, Florida were the printers.

Particular mention must be made of the “brave” advertisers who took the challenge and supported this first issue in the absence of copy material or graphics.

Ten thousand copies of this first edition have been printed. The second print is slated for early December 2006.
