STOCKHOLM, Sweden: Despite winning the women's Triple Jump title at the 2006 GE Money Grand Prix, an IAAF World Athletics Tour in Helsinki on Wednesday, Jamaican Trecia Smith says there is still room for improvement.

Smith returned to the same stadium where she won the World Championships title last summer to land her best mark by a long way in this campaign, but said afterwards that even though she was happy with the victory and her efforts over 15m, she was not too happy with the technical aspects of her performance.

"My result is not as good as I expected," said Smith, who won the World champion title in the same stadium last August. "My technique was not dynamic enough, but of course I could feel my good memories from here," she added.

After opening with four impressive efforts close to the 15-metres mark, Smith leaped a seasonal best of 15.05m to knock off the early challenges of former Cuban jumper Yamile Aldama, who now competes for Sudan. She then closed the competition with a 15.00m jump.

The 30-year-old, who celebrates her 31st birthday in four months, holds a personal best of 15.16m and is poised the improve that mark this year. Earlier this season in Melbourne, Australia, the Jamaican won the Commonwealth Games title with a jump of 14.39m, a performance that improved her third place finish in Manchester 2002.

Smith will next compete at the IAAF Super Grand Prix in Norwich Union this Friday in London. However, she will tackle the Long Jump, an event she holds a personal best of 6.74m.
