Turks & Caicos Chief Minister announces engagement to Hollywood actress

GRAND TURK, Turks & Caicos Islands: The engagement has been announced between Michael Misick, Chief Minister of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and actress/businesswoman, LisaRaye McCoy.

Mr Misick and Ms McCoy will exchange their wedding vows on December 28, 2005 in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

“I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with LisaRaye," said Misick.

The couple met at the Trumpet Awards in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this year.

Misick is the Chief Minister of the Turks and Caicos Islands an archipelago of 40 beautiful Islands between the Bahamas and Puerto Rico in the Caribbean. The country is known for having the 3rd largest barrier reef system in the world and the best beaches in the world with over 200 miles of white sandy beaches.

It has also developed a reputation as the premier up market destination for the elite, particularly being popular among the jet set from the music and entertainment world. Most recently Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner chose the Turks and Caicos Islands as the destination for their wedding.

LisaRaye McCoy is an acclaimed actress and businesswoman. She has been the face for urban entertainment and has captured the hearts of many through her work in Hollywood. She got a big break as the star in Ice Cube’s, Players Club, performing alongside notables such as Jamie Foxx, Bernie Mack, Michael Clarke Dunkin. She has gone on to major roles in movies such as The Wood, Guns and Roses and Barber Shop 2.

She is currently the star of UPN’S third season television show All of Us alongside Duane Martin, produced by Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

In addition to her acting career she is quite a businesswoman having come from a family that owns hotels and a bank in Chicago. LisaRaye has started a lingerie line called Luxe & Romance and is about to launch her own jeans line to be called X- Raye. In addition she is breaking ground for a teenage group home in her home town of Chicago called Raye of Sunshine.
