MONTREAL, Canada: The Montreal Impact, with Jamaican Kevin Wilson in their line up, registered their fourth tie of the season to stay unbeaten after eight matches in the United Soccer Leagues.

Playing in front of 9,864 spectators against Toronto Lynx at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex on Friday, Impact improved their overall season record to four wins and four draws after playing to a goalless draw with the bottom-placed team in the league.

"We quite simply did not create enough scoring opportunities," Montreal's coach Nick De Santis said on the team's website.

"We were expecting this type of game, but we have to find ways to score some goals. We played a good first half, but the second half was a little tougher. We are really disappointed that we couldn't provide more excitement for our fans," he added.

The Lynx, who had allowed nine goals in their last two games, played a very defensive style throughout the match which caused Impact to play to their second consecutive scoreless tie at home.

In-form striker Ali Gerba got the Impact’s best scoring chance in the 31st minute but was stopped by Lynx's goalkeeper Richard Goddard after the forward tried to go around him.

Wilson played for 81 minutes before he was substituted for Darko Kolic.

Impact will next be at home against Charleston Battery on June 22. Until then, Montreal will play two exhibition games against the Vermont Voltage of the Premier Development League of the USL.
