ROSEAU, Dominica: The independent body monitoring Dominica's economic stabilisation and adjustment programme said Wednesday it was unhappy with the incomplete financial data given to it by the Ministry of Finance.
Chairman of the Independent Monitoring Group, Albert Matthew, disclosed that key details on the island's revenue and expenditure for October was left out.
The former high court judge added that with a 20 per cent increase in government's spending, the IMG needed to know exactly how that money was spent.
Matthew also said the group could not give an assessment of the government's performance this time, after giving it a good review for the July to September period.
The Dominican government explained that it lacked the number of financial experts to staff the department handling the economic stabilisation programme of the country that began 18 months ago.
