When first hearing of hash you might think of something illegal. In fact hashing is for the last twenty years a very typical local pastime: a kind of scavenger hunt for adults. Fifty or more sports enthusiasts as well as hard-drinking people meet every two weeks before one of the many rum-shops. On command, they run screaming ("On, on! ") and follow loose scraps of paper with flowers or marked trails through a beautiful, remote area. After an hour or two all return to the starting point - 'Après-hash' they call it quite elegantly. Every second Saturday at 4pm they organize the 'Hash House Harriers' at various places in the island of Grenada (www.GrenadaHash.com). Who wants to give it a try, is always welcome.
