Email To Friend Print Version | Dear Sir:
The Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines has completely lost his way, no doubt because he is being misled by foreign elements. He does not seem to have a mind of his own, hence the reason why he is vacillating, flip flopping.
At one time he was not in favour of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) and suddenly changed his mind to join and as result he put the country into millions of dollars of debt for a failed referendum to abolish appeals to the Privy Council.
Last month he was lobbing to secure a seat on the UN Security Council, and shortly after he changed his mind. It is clear that he was pushed to lobby for the seat by his boss Chavez because he wanted to block Colombia.
He is blowing hot and cold, and making a complete fool of himself while the wider Caribbean and the world are laughing at him. The sooner he realises that he should just concentrate on clearing the way for a more progressive and aggressive team with plans to develop St Vincent and the Grenadines would be better for him and the country rather than associating with people who are self centered who have intentions only to try to rule the Caribbean by slipping through the back doors of these small islands.
Our economy is in shambles, our health care is getting from bad to worse, unemployment mounting, crime escalating and for Gonsalves to try to solve the local problems, he is on a world stage parading. He is a puppet show; the latest he is the spokesperson for Cariforum. The man cannot run his own government and he wants to handle the affairs of the entire region.
I feel pity for him since he has completely destroyed himself in trying to prove to Chavez that he was able to deliver to him the Caribbean using SVG as his springboard to launch the takeover. However, little does he know that the untutored and idiotic people of SVG as he called us are so smart to resist his wicked ideas, disguised communism and his false concerns for Vincentians was just window dressing to give Chavez his way.
The stage is now set for his departure and to usher in the change those we desperately need to get our country back on track to save the next generation. Our youths need to be part of the rebuilding process of our blessed land so that they will inherit a better place for their children to look forward. A stitch in time saves nine, Mr Gonsalves.
This time more Vincentians who live home and abroad, as well as their relatives and friends overseas will be paying very close attention to the voters list and the build up to the general elections as well as the results.
Any hanky panky this time will not go down so easy. There will be no more padding of the voters list. We will not allow for the list to have so many voters of a country with such small population, which drew comments from the Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States. We are staying awake and will fight this to the bitter end if even if we have to go the Privy Council.
Take warning, you better take warning, Gonsie, we are ready for the battle.
