Email To Friend Print Version | HOLGUIN, Cuba (ACN) -- Several new tour operators, including Canadian WestJet and Finnish Finair, will start bringing clients to eastern Cuba’s Holguin tourist resort through the Frank País International Airport in the province.
Carlos Zambrano, representative of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in the province, said that during the “high season” visitors will have access to the over 150,000 seats offered by the airlines that operate at the Frank País airport.
The two new airlines, WestJet and Finair, are two of the 15 that fly to the Holguin airport from Canada, UK, Germany, Italy and Holland, among others, with some 22 flights per week, he explained.
Those countries are the main tourist producing markets for this eastern Cuban province, where there are over 4,800 hotel rooms, distributed mainly in the Guardalavaca, Pesquero and Esmeralda resorts, said Raciel Rivero, MINTUR commercial specialist.
Among the best options is the Pesquero Beach Hotel, with the largest capacity in Cuba of over 900 rooms, and which was inaugurated on January 21, 2003 by Fidel Castro. | | | | Reads : 415 | | | |
