Troops dispatched to Suriname disaster areas
PARAMARIBO, Suriname: The first army and police troops were dispatched Tuesday to the disaster area in the Upper Suriname region after more than 50 villages in the area were hit by floods. In total some 175 villages in the remote interior of Suriname were hit by the unprecedented flooding. read more..
