Trinidad airport closed after bomb threats

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (AFP): The main international airport in Trinidad and Tobago was shut down Thursday after officials there received anonymous bomb threats, police told local radio.  Anonymous callers telephoned three times, claiming that bombs had been placed aboard two aircraft and in the main terminal at Piarco Airport, 16 miles east of the capital.  Flights were suspended while the airport was being searched, a police spokesman said.
