US Senate panel approves new Caribbean envoy

WASHINGTON, USA (AFP): The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday unanimously approved a slate of President George W. Bush's candidates for ambassadorial posts around the world, including several Caribbean island nations.  The recommendations, which must be approved by the full Senate, include Mary Kramer to be ambassador to Barbados, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
