Short-term cut on electricity rates in Dominica
ROSEAU, Dominica: Dominicans will now pay 7.5 percent more for electricity, some 9.5 percent less than they were paying on their August bill. The reduction may however, be short lived as the Pierre Charles administration and the Dominica Electricity Services Ltd., have only reached a three month agreement on the monthly bills, AP reported.
It is not clear what will happen after the three months expire.

2007 World Cup cricket may feature more teams, less matches
MUMBAI, India: Cricket fans get ready to see more teams in the 2007 cricket World Cup in the Caribbean but fewer matches. The executive board of the International Cricket Council said recently it may expand the tournament from 14 to 16 teams.
But the competition will be shorter by almost two weeks.
The proposed format will be informally discussed at the 26-27th September meeting in St Lucia, which will be attended by delegates from countries in the Caribbean and North America seeking to host matches during the tournament along with several ICC
officials.
