Anguilla government agencies benefit from workshop in fraudulent document detection

THE VALLEY, Anguilla -- Anguilla's Chief Immigration Officer Laureen Bryan has described a recent training workshop in Fraudulent Document Detection as being extremely beneficial.
Immigration Officers along with personnel from police, customs and airline staff participated in the two day exercise held last week. It was facilitated by Brian Crocker, Regional Immigration Integrity Officer currently assigned to the Canadian High Commission Office in Kingston, Jamaica. His jurisdiction covers most of the Caribbean region.
‘The training was very timely and essential in light of the number of persons who have been attempting to enter Anguilla with fraudulent documents over the past year,’ Bryan said. She added that participants found the training to be very beneficial and enlightening and would be using the knowledge gained to enhance the performance of their duties.
The training workshop was sponsored by the Canadian High Commission which has also provided training opportunities in border enforcement for Immigration officers in the recent past. | | | | Reads : 642 | | | |
