LONDON, England: Athens Olympic champions Tonique Williams-Darling from the Bahamas, and Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell are already confirmed for next February’s Norwich Union Grand Prix indoor meeting in Birmingham, according to the UK Athletics. Also confirmed for the February 18 meet is Russia’s World and Olympic Pole Vault champion Yelena Isinbayeva, who recently changed her coach in her pursuit to higher heights. The 23-year-old will attempt to break another world record on British soil when she competes at the National Indoor Arena. "The British meetings have always been good to me and I seem to perform well whenever I go there. The crowds always get right behind me which makes it easier to achieve those World record heights," Isinbayeva said. Williams-Darling the Olympic and World 400m champion will run that event in Birmingham, while Campbell, the Olympic 200m champion will go in search of more glory in that, which is her specialized event. Both Campbell and Williams-Darling will also line-up in Glasgow on January 28. While the Bahamian will run the two-lap indoor race, the Jamaican is down to contest the 60m dash sprint.
