National Bank of Anguilla wins ECCB Best Corporate Citizens Award

BASSETERRE, St Kitts: The National Bank of Anguilla is the 2005 recipient of the ECCB award for the Best Corporate Citizen among Commercial Banks in the ECCU area.

In a ceremony held at the ECCB Headquarters in 1 November 2005, following presentation of the 10th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture, Mr Val Banks, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Anguilla accepted the award. 

National Bank of Anguilla also received Good Corporate Citizen awards for its contributions to Sports development, Financial Literacy and the social services.

Other winners were the National Commercial Bank Grenada Ltd which also secured Good Corporate Citizen Awards for cultural Development, customer service and community outreach projects, and the Bank of St Lucia Limited which was recognized for contributions to educational development and to environmental awareness. 

Presentations were also made to three Kittitian students, Tarika Williams, of St Thesea’s Convent, Akeem Edwards and Laresa Harrigan, both of Verchilds High, winners of the first, second and third prizes respectively of the ECCB’s Annual Essay competition.

Marcella Liburd, Speaker of the National Assembly, St Kitts and Nevis, presented the awards.
